Vehicles Located In Areas With Emission Requirements

If your vehicle's located in an area where emissions inspections are required, you must obtain and include a copy of the Vehicle Emissions Certificate from that program along with the deferral request form.

Vehicles Located In Areas Without Emission Requirements

If your vehicle's located in an area where emissions inspections are NOT required, you must provide a completed VIN Inspection Form as evidence that the vehicle's located out of state. Utah VIN Inspection Form

Military Service

If your vehicle's located outside of Utah because of Military service, you must upload a copy of your Active Military Orders indicating your requirement to be in your current location.
